They sell a base plate kit that requires space below
the mounting
location. You would use a hole saw and cut a three inch hole in the
middle of the pedestal location. Then insert metal plates below and a
base plate above the deck. The pedestal is then attached to that. Don't
forget to reinsert the cutout with 5200 sealer or epoxy. Any good parts
shop should be able to get the kit for you.
