Thank You<

Our answer:

In theory, TC-W3 is TC-W3, no matter who manufactures the oil.

Have you read the oil shoot-out article posted on the site?

It's always our decision to play it safe so, we use each Engine company's brand oil. This is not an answer backed up by scientific research, but rather, a decision to comply with what each manufacturer tells us about their product and the recommended oil.

Sometimes the cost per quart is higher but, considering our position... it's cheap insurance.

To answer your question... is it acceptable?

You didn't mention what size and/or year engine you have but, in most cases... Yes, it is suppose to be acceptable. I don't know if any other brand oil, other than the one sold by the engine manufacturer,  has been tested with these engines, specifically. And, mixing different brands is not recommended.
